Hello, I am Patrice Cox. I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2010. I received my Master's degree from Clark Atlanta University and my undergraduate degree from Georgia State University. I have been working in the field of counseling since 2004. I have experience working with individuals who deal with issues such as: anxiety, depression, stress management, substance abuse, grief, loss, trauma, relationship conflict, anger management, poor communication skills, family conflict, family reunification, low self-esteem, gender identity, and poor decision making.

My counseling style is non-judgmental, supportive, honest, and encouraging. I use an eclectic approach to counseling which includes a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). I believe that everyone has the ability to make their desired changes and/or improvements. Most people have trouble in following areas; expressing their feelings in useful ways, controlling anger, putting the past behind them, setting realistic goals, and establishing a plan of action to meet those goals.

With my assistance I can help you make your desired positive progress going forward. I look forward to meeting you, making positive connections for you and your family. Let me help you to better help yourself.
